|Thompson has been diagnosed with a concussion and will not practice until he is symptom free. The Warriors announced the diagnosis Friday after Thompson went through neurological tests earlier in the day. Thompson was kneed in the head by Houston's Trevor Ariza in the fourth quarter of Golden State's Western Conference finals clinching win Wednesday night.
Analysis: Thompson will be evaluated and will not be allowed back on the court until he clears the NBA concussion protocol guidelines. Thompson was initially cleared to return to the game by team doctors. He ended up not playing and started developing symptoms after the game.

|Howard has been suspended without pay for one game after getting his fourth flagrant foul point in the postseason. The foul in Game 5 of the Western Conference finals was ruled a common foul during the game, but was upgraded to a flagrant foul 1 after a review about the league office. It came when he made what the NBA called unnecessary contact with his forearm to the neck area of Golden State's Andre Iguodala.
Analysis: Howard will serve his suspension in the first game next season that he is physically able to play.

|Police say Wall was kicked off a flight in Las Vegas on Tuesday after a disturbance was reported.
Analysis: Las Vegas police said Friday that the Washington Wizards' All-Star point guard was with a group of people on an American Airlines flight around 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Police say one of the people with Wall got into a verbal fight with another passenger who was unrelated to the group. Authorities say that's when the airline requested Wall and his group be removed from the plane. Police say there were no charges or arrests.

|Thompson is feeling better and is on track to return for the NBA Finals next week after taking a knee to his head from Trevor Ariza that caused ''concussion-like symptoms.''
Analysis: That's according to Thompson's father, former NBA player Mychal Thompson. He told The Associated Press on Thursday night that his son's energy was up and his appetite was back, but he still needs to pass the league-mandated concussion protocol.

|A person with knowledge of contract negotiations between Dwyane Wade and the Miami Heat says talks are at an impasse, and that Wade is considering all options - including potentially leaving the team that drafted him 12 years ago. The person says Wade and the Heat had talks on Thursday about his contract. The person spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because neither side has publicly discussed the negotiations.
Analysis: Wade can choose to opt out and become a free agent this summer, or play the last year on his deal and earn about $16.1 million next season. The Heat do not comment about ongoing negotiations. Wade led the Heat in scoring this season at 21.5 points per game, but missed 20 contests because of injuries and illness.

|James wrapped up Cleveland's four-game sweep of Atlanta with 23 points, nine rebounds and seven assists.
Analysis: James now heads to the NBA Finals for the fifth consecutive year.

|Horford scored only two points Tuesday as Atlanta was eliminated from the postseason.
Analysis: Horford wasn't the only member of the Hawks to disappoint, but his point total in Game 4 was a steep decline from his previous average of 15.3 this postseason.

|Smith had 18 points and 10 rebounds Tuesday in Cleveland's Game 4 victory.
Analysis: It was the second consecutive double-double for Smith, who heads to the NBA Finals for the first time in his career.

|Harden was outstanding in Houston's Game 4 win on Monday.
Analysis: Harden scored 45 points with nine rebounds, five assists, two steals and two blocks to keep the Rockets alive in the Western Conference Finals. It was a career-high postseason scoring total for Harden.

|Green played well in a losing effort Monday.
Analysis: Green posted a double-double with 21 points and 15 rebounds in Golden State's Game 4 loss. He also tallied five blocks, despite the Warriors' lackluster defensive effort.

|Curry says he has no lingering effects from his frightening fall and is ready to play Game 5 of the Western Conference finals.
Analysis: Curry said he was coherent and ''ready to go'' after the Warriors held their morning shootaround Wednesday in preparation for a potential clincher against the Rockets. Golden State leads the series 3-1.

|Curry was scintillating and sensational Saturday night to help the Warriors take a 3-0 lead in the Western Conference finals.
Analysis: Curry scored 40 points as he was unstoppable, making seven 3-pointers to break the NBA record for most 3s in the playoffs in a season with 64. The baby-faced MVP had 37 points after three quarters and finished with seven assists and five boards. Game 4 is Memorial Day at Toyota Center.

|Harden misfired early and often Saturday night.
Analysis: Harden finished with 17 points behind 10-of-11 free-throw shooting, but made just 3 of 16 shots as the Rockets dropped three straight for the first time all season. Their season is on the line in Game 4 is Memorial Day at Toyota Center.

|Horford was ejected in the second quarter of Game 3 of the Eastern Conference finals for throwing an elbow at Cavaliers guard Matthew Dellavedova. It's the second time in this series Dellavedova has been involved in a loose-ball situation. While diving for a ball in Game 2, he accidentally injured Atlanta's Kyle Korver, knocking him out of the playoffs with a severely sprained ankle.
Analysis: Horford and Dellavedova got tangled on the floor while scrambling for a loose ball. As Dellavedvoa was rolling up on his right knee, Horford brought his right arm down hard to the side of the scrappy guard's head. The officials took several minutes looking at the play on a video monitor before assessing Horford with a Flagrant 2 foul and ejecting him. He had 14 points.

|Ross has had ankle surgery to remove bone spurs. The team says he had surgery in California on Friday, and he'll undergo rehabilitation in Toronto.
Analysis: Ross has averaged 9.8 points in a career-best 82 games this season. He's shot .373 from 3-point range in his career. No timetable has been set for a return to basketball activities.

|Korver is facing a recovery period of three months after having surgery to repair ligament damage in his right ankle.
Analysis: The NBA's best 3-point shooter in the regular season, Korver was injured in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference finals when he was scrambling for a loose ball and his ankle was rolled on by Cleveland's Matthew Dellavedova.

|Irving returned from an ailing left knee to assist the Cavaliers' Eastern Conference finals sweep of Atlanta on Tuesday.
Analysis: After missing the prior two games, Irving had 16 points and five assists in an 118-88 romp in Cleveland.

|Carroll was a surprise starter in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference final against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Friday night. The Hawks waited until seeing Carroll test his sprained left knee before finalizing their starting lineup less than 30 minutes before the game.
Analysis: Carroll took part in shootaround Friday morning and was questionable against the Cleveland Cavaliers. Carroll was injured with about 5 minutes left in Cleveland's Game 1 victory.
